Giant tipis are a low-cost way of launching an outdoor wedding & events venue for any farmer, landowner or estate. There are three key factors which will determine what your return on investment will be:
Occupancy Rates i.e. how many nights a week you want to rent out the tipi space. Will you want to rent it out nightly (quicker turnover after every event), or will you want a full weekend rent/ minimum rental time of 3 nights?
Tipi Formation i.e. how many Big Hat tipis you choose to invest in. To launch an attractive Outdoor Wedding & Events venue, we recommend a minimum of 2 Big Hats linked together. This will allow you to accommodate weddings of 80-120 guests seated. The more Big Hats, the larger the events you can host. For four Big Hats for example, you can accommodate up to 200 guests seated.
Your rental fee. This will vary depending on how many guests your venue can accommodate and how many nights you want to rent the tipis out to one client.
You will need to conduct some research of nearby wedding & event venues and what they charge for the rental of their land. Bear in mind exclusivity, accommodation options and drill down on exactly on what is included for the fee.
