Training
When you invest in a tipi from The Tipi Company, you will receive a step-by step guide on how to put together the different components in a safe and secure way. We recommend all of our clients take us up on our 1-2-1 Training Programme, which takes place at our factory in Manchester and also in our training field in Lancashire. Here you will learn the ‘ins and outs’ of the industry, receive top-tips on how to make the erection and dismantling of the tipis run as smooth as possible and also troubleshoot any queries you may have.
Naturally we give you all the documentation to support your learnings – we don’t expect you to learn it off by heart straight away of course – but our main focus is to give you a one-to-one experience where you can fire any questions at us there and then and we can give you the answer to any questions you may have. Our Online Training Portal is due to be launched towards the end of 2016. The self-paced training portal will be available exclusively to all Tipi Company clients and will allow you and your team to work through all aspects of assembly and disassembly at your own pace. The portal will include step-by-step guides, videos, images and downloadable documents such as manuals and much more. This is a vital tool when training, as it allows you to access instructions and guidance documents at any time on a laptop, smartphone or tablet, as long as you are connected to the internet.
INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION OF 2 OR 3 BIG HATS
For companies where they have no in-house tipi fitting crew, our Installation Option is the perfect add-on, taking out the stress of learning how to build a tipi from scratch. Our team of experienced Tipi Fitters will arrive onsite first thing in the morning at your venue to start the build of your tipi formation.
Other notes:
One calendar day will be allocated for the installation of the tipis (depending on your Tipi setup and Accessories).
Our Tipi Fitting Team will only install Tipis and Accessories purchased from The Tipi Company (excluding flooring).
Please note that the Installation Day is not classed as a Training Day due to the time restrictions to complete the build within the one calendar day.
*Please note – If you are planning on using your tipis as a permanent or semi-permanent space, we recommend that we install the tipis on top of a raised wooden platform (rather than onto the grass) – the design and size specifications of which we can share with you and your local craftsmen can install before we arrive.
INSTALLATION OF TTC WOODEN FLOORING FOR 2 OR 3 BIG HATS
Our team of experience Tipi Fitters will install the Sectional Wooden Flooring in your two or three tipi configuration. One Calender Day will be allocated for the installation of the Sectional Wooden Flooring. Please note that preparation of the ground is essential prior to our Tipi Fitting teams arrival. I.e. the ground must be level and even and / or have wooden decking installed underneath.
Repairs Service
At The Tipi Company we believe that we should be with you every step of the way. Your investment in our products isn’t just a ‘flash in the pan’ but a long standing working relationship where we can be with you every step of the way. Being based in the UK has the massive advantage of being able to offer a local and reliable After-Sales support service, which includes our Repairs Department.
We strongly believe in the quality of our British-made products and as a result, we have a 1-year manufacturing warranty in place – if any of our products fail due to a manufacturing defect, we will fix it or repair it free of charge (this warranty extends to all timber framework, steel components and canvas sheeting).
That said, if you have any other issues with your product, big or small, our Repairs Department is more than happy to help and the same team who make the tipis will also fix any problems you may have in the most cost effective, timely way.
Health & Safety
At The Tipi Company, Health & Safety comes first. We understand that the responsibility of owning, erecting and dismantling a large event structure is great and as a result, we have a long line of statements, plans, assessments and calculations in place to ensure the upmost safety for you and your clients. It can be pretty daunting at first but it is a must that you comply with all Health & Safety regulations and that you run your business efficiently and safely. We will work together with you to ensure you are fully compliant and have the best possible technical support to make your events run smoothly.
